How to Prepare for Your Akashic Records Reading
This page walks you through what to expect during an Akashic Records reading and how to prepare beforehand.
How to Prepare for Your Session:
Dress Comfortably
Wear soft, comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and feel at ease during your session.
For online sessions, you may want to choose a quiet place where you can sit or lie down comfortably with a blanket, pillow, journal, or anything else that helps you feel settled.
Light Meal & Hydration
To help you feel present and comfortable, try to have a light snack or meal before your session and stay hydrated.
It is best to avoid arriving overly hungry, rushed, or overly full. The goal is to support your body so you can relax, listen, and receive the guidance that comes through with more ease.
Caffeine & Alcohol
If possible, limit caffeine for a few hours before your session, especially if it tends to make you feel anxious, scattered, or overly stimulated.
Please avoid alcohol and recreational drugs on the day of your session, as these can interfere with clarity, presence, and your ability to fully receive the reading.
Minimize Distractions
Before your session begins, silence notifications and set your phone or devices to “do not disturb.”
If your session is online, choose a private space where you are unlikely to be interrupted. You may also want to use the restroom beforehand, have water nearby, and give yourself a few minutes to settle in before your appointment time.
Bring Questions or Set an Intention
Akashic Records readings are often most supportive when you bring a few questions or areas of focus.
You may want clarity around a relationship, repeating pattern, life transition, spiritual gift, soul contract, emotional block, or something you have been feeling but cannot quite name.
If you do not have specific questions, that is okay too. You can come with a simple intention such as:
“I am open to receiving what is most supportive for me at this time.”
Your session does not need to be perfectly planned. The Records will meet you where you are.
What to Expect for In-Person Sessions:
We will begin by taking a few moments to connect, clarify your intention for the session, and answer any questions you may have before opening the Records.
During the reading, Jackie will share the guidance, insight, and information that comes through from your Akashic Records. Depending on your session and questions, this may include insight around soul-level patterns, relationships, soul contracts, past-life influences, spiritual gifts, emotional blocks, or areas where healing and clarity are available.
You are welcome to ask questions throughout the session. Some people like to take notes as we go, while others prefer to simply listen and reflect afterward.
There is no pressure to respond in a certain way. You may feel emotional, peaceful, curious, validated, surprised, or simply thoughtful. All of that is welcome.
What to Expect For Online Sessions:
Akashic Records readings are offered online, allowing you to receive the session from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
We will meet via Zoom for the full duration of your session. Before we begin, we will take a few moments to connect, clarify your focus, and answer any questions you may have.
You are welcome to keep your camera on or turn it off if that helps you feel more comfortable. Please choose a space where you can be present, hear clearly, and speak freely.
Create a Quiet Space
Choose a peaceful area where you can be undisturbed for the length of your session.
You may want to have water, a journal, tissues, a blanket, or anything else that helps you feel grounded and supported. Some people like to light a candle, hold a crystal, or create a simple ritual before beginning, but none of that is required.
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, present, and able to receive.
Gentle Reminder:
A 24-hour cancellation policy is in place to honor the time reserved for your session.
If you have any questions before your Akashic Records reading, please feel free to reach out.
